First Haircut and Trip to the Beauty Parlor

Pigtails and big brother are the coolest.

Mommy, can you please get my left side to show off the cuteness from this angle?

They even put glitter in my hair, too!

It's so much fun being a girl.

Thanks, Papa Ken and Nana Peggy!

Uncle Andy is the only missing piece to the puzzle...thanks for taking the shot!

Dad and his daughters.

Dad's 70th celebration was a HUGE success that included luau dancers and "Kenny Boy" gracing the stage in front of hundreds. He was an all star! Peggy did an amazing job with all the details and everyone had a blast. We love you!

First Bike Ride Yo!

Despite everyone exhausted and sick as this was our final day, we had a blast in the Surrey Bike. It was peaceful, bonding and lots of fun. In fact, we witnessed Emmett out of nowhere lean over to kiss Anya just before we took off on this four wheel adventure. Great video footage on this one, too!

The sun hat and legs nicely crossed makes us drool over her Anya cuteness.

My Furry Pooh Friends

Tigger and Anya really hit it off!

Big brother was thrilled there was no Rabbit because "he is naughty".

Cousins cousins cousins oh my!

Anya's cousins are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO great with her. They clap with her, feed her bottles and get down on her level for good 'ol Anya fun. Why not when you're THIS cute?!

Strollerville

Our sweet baby girl was a trooper all week in Orlando. Let's face it, how many amusement rides are there for a one year old?! We became close friends with the Stroller Rental people and our only complaint was no reclining feature. A girl's gotta sleep with this much action, so where's the love? We borrowed Aunt Jill and Aunt Beth's (thank you!) or we opted to head back to the hotel for quiet, cool, much-needed baby siestas.

My First Theme Park Ride!

Seuss Landing at Universal Studios was FULL of adventure! Anya got a taste of the o-so famous and clever Cat in the Hat. The dark scenes caused her to whimper once or twice, yet she went back for a second time with her daddy as it was simply too precious having her sit by our side for the unforgettable ride.

More Cuteness

So tired here she fell asleep en route to the tub.

So proud of herself that she can climb on the kid's table...

Once again, so wiped out from the day and trying to keep up with her brother...she falls asleep on the changing station.

She loves her new "Anya" chair she got from Gramma for her birthday!

Wicked Cute

If there is one word to describe this baby girl it is CUTE. We hear it over and over with strangers in the grocery store, walking the street, truly where ever we go. We are blessed we get to live with her cuteness each and every day.

Lake Chelan

We had a lovely time hanging in Chelan with the Keegans and Merce Gay's. The highlight by far was the day it was sunny, 80 degrees and we rented a power boat! If only I remembered to bring my camera, but I know the Keegans have some unforgettable shots. Please share, Jules!

Another great time was heading to the State Park for playground fun, BBQ, cake and lots of playing! We will never forget our girl, Anya, taking off for the playground equipment unbeknowst to me and making it all the way to the top all by herself. My heart sank when I saw her, but she was fine and VERY proud of her big girl playground skills. She is on her way!

Seward Park

One of our favorite parks in the city is close to our old home. It's serene, quiet and truly a retreat from the hustle and bustle. If only it was a hop, skip 'n a jump from our Fremont home!

Happy 13 Months!

This photo was taken on Anya's 13 month birthday while we were playing. She is becoming quite the busy girl these days. She's crawling everywhere and even will climb the narrow stairs to our TV area. I can't let her out of my sight!

One Year Check-Up

Here are baby girl's stats after 12 months in the world.

Height/Length: 31" (95%)
Weight: 21 lbs. 4.5 oz. (50%)
Head Circumference: 47.5 cm (95%)

We're surprised with her weight as she feels much bigger for her age. She is growing up beautifully and the only area we feel challenged is her recent waking up in the middle of the night. For the first 12 months of her life, she was sleeping so well we would keep our mouths shut when other new parents were complaining. Parenthood is always full of surprises, so we know it was too good to last forever.

They say night terrors kick in around this age, so we have her dialed in with a lady bug nightlight, I-pod with Disney lullabies and new Turtle Constellation Light courtesy of the Keegans. It's so cool I want to sleep in her room when its on and look up at the galaxy. Comes in three colors, too, depending on their mood. We're hopeful and confident it's a stage and will quickly pass. Please, we hope. Sleep is golden!

My First Boat Ride-Deception Pass Tour

Gramma reluctantly gets on and questions her granddaughter being a part of this at the early age of one. It was pouring rain not even an hour ago.

Anya is on her toes with excitement and anticipation for this water adventure.

Look, Papa, I'm a big girl!

Boat picks up speed and baby girl is really having fun! Papa surely is, too.

Daddy sense kicks in and blocks the wind from her, but can't stop the boat from crashing down on BIG waves.

Anya no longer sure this is fun, looking at mommy thinking, 'did you sign me up for this?' Papa, nevertheless, is continuing to have a blast. Daddy is not.

Daddy giving mommy "the look" and sides with Gramma on this one.

Anya, Gramma, Papa (Emmett, too)
