4th of July is Fun

This year was one of the best celebrations yet! We got to swim at Gramma and Papa's pool and even though it rained we still had fun. Daddy even set off fireworks, which Anya was not super jazzed about, but she hung in there. Anya got to meet her Uncle Jon and Aunt Lori for the first time, too! Lots of swimming and playing with family--what more can you ask for?!

Cousins and Grams

Anya got to meet all of her cousins sans Dominic for the first time in St. Louis. Wow--a fiercesome sixsome who love having fun! Grams was a gracious hostess and we had lots of fun celebrating her 70th birthday. We surprised mom with a Bubble Bus and proceeded to drink champagne and dance to techno tunes in honor of her big birthday this year. IT WAS UNFORGETTABLE! Mom, we love you and Happy Birthday!

My First Bite of Ice Cream

Ever year we have to visit Ted Drewes Frozen Custard when we go home to St. Louis. It truly is the best frozen treat EVER! Famous for their "concretes"--anything they serve is off the charts good.

Of course, we go this 4th of July to get our fix and Justin ordered a concrete with reese's peanut butter cups (his fave). We knew if anytime was good to introduce Anya to ice cream it was here and now. Anya's first bite she was shocked, then almost unsure as if it was too-good-to-be-true and then quickly realized it was the real deal (thank you so much!). After that, it was all over and she was not going to let this out of her sight...

Swings are the coolest

We went to Greenlake Park the other day to meet some friends and their kids. We had a blast and feel relieved summer is finally here. Julie Keegan aka "Juju" took some fun shots of Anya swinging who was laughing having the time of her life. Then Juls has this sweet app that turns every day shots into cool, artistic frames.
