My First Hike Ever

Mommy and daddy keep talking about mountains, hiking, camping and adventures for this family. They seem very enthusiastic about the subject, so I guess I have no other choice, but go along for the ride. We'll see where they take us and I am a big fan of the philosophy "baby steps".

This first hike was 40 minutes from our home over on Cougar Mountain. It was a lot of fun! Emmett enjoyed "being the leader" and managed to walk the entire trail on his own. It lasted roughly 30-35 minutes when I decided I was really hungry and tired of looking at trees.

6 month check-up

Yesterday, we had Anya's 6 month check-up (seconds end up going later at 6.5 months!) and the doctor said she is doing great! The list of vaccines is growing, which I find a bit concerning. My question for the doctor was, "can these little babies really handle all these immunizations?" She convinced me it was fine, so we went with H1N1 among 4 others.

Here are baby girl's stats:

Height--26.5 in

Weight--17 lbs

Head--44.5 cm

Basically, she is in the 50-75 percentile except for the head where she is 90-95%. She must have her mommy's noggin. Well, if that was the case she would be off-the-charts. :-)
